While we have already implemented various measures, we recognize the importance of staying updated with innovations and technologies to further reduce our environmental impact. Our Sustainability Pledge signifies our dedication to doing our best, and we encourage our customers to join us in this commitment. Together, we have a shared responsibility to minimise our impact, preserve our planet, and promote sustainable growth. By collaborating, we can truly make a meaningful difference.

Our Suppliers

We acquire all our reclaimed timber from skilled local reclamation specialists across the South West. Through our work, we breathe new life into each timber piece, revealing the inherent beauty in its historical marks and imperfections. Additionally, we collaborate with a local steel fabricator who crafts all materials from recycled steel.

Our Zero Waste Policy

We are constantly striving to improve our practices and limit our impact on the environment. During a recent audit we evaluated our wood offcut and sawdust policies and implemented some new measures. We decided to bring out a new range of unique smaller items that include shelving ladders, mini floating shelves, and test tube vases. The remaining offcuts are donated to a school and to the public for firewood to heat their homes. Our sawdust is donated to Suez and made into other building materials.

Offcuts

Our waste management strategy consists of three key steps. Initially, we focus on minimizing waste by enhancing operational efficiency. Next, we repurpose our offcuts for smaller products and packaging. Lastly, if we are unable to utilize the wooden offcuts in any other manner, we donate them to a local school for educational purposes, allowing children to experiment and create. Additionally, we provide offcuts to the public for firewood, without seeking profit from our waste, distinguishing us from other companies.

Design & Making

We meticulously plan the design of our products to ensure maximum efficiency before starting production. We carefully craft each product to maximize the use of every timber piece, reducing waste and embracing the unique imperfections of the wood. Any leftover timber offcuts are shared with our local community instead of being discarded.
